Please ensure the fun you are having is based on facts.... Some of your climate stuff is nonsense.

Wow Nigel, you cracked the case! Guess we can all just keep burning fossil fuels, destroy ecosystems, have biodiversity crash, and turn those rainforests into condos. And here I was being concerned that human activity was harming the Great Barrier Reef!

I agree some tactics of Just Stop Oil and others can alienate folks, but the idea that human consumption isn’t harming the planet is just a farce. It is true that fewer people live in poverty, but the affects of mass migration, drought, and conflict will exacerbate living conditions in the developing world - which climate stress will only amplify.

Look…The key message from the movie I gave you to watch is that we don’t have any form of climate crisis on this planet, and the climate emergency activist action is far more dangerous to humankind.

So, NetZero is unnecessary, technologically unattainable, economically unviable and extremely foolish.

Instead of clever sarcastic comments you should get educated and avoid the myths exposed in the video.

If you can find scientific proof that the climate is an emergency…. let me know so we can discuss.

Cheers Nigel, I will watch the video and give that a read. I am glad we both agree that my commentary is clever.

Always helpful to find common ground. Have you read ‘The War Below’ ? The aspect of mining and critical minerals is an interesting one, too.

Mark Mills talks to mineral extraction and its almost impossible mission...

W&S are a huge mistake compared to nuclear power.

Thanks will give it a watch - The War Below was interesting, would say it would be fine as an audiobook from the library versus you must go get it in hardcover. The author provides a bit of context around the history of mineral extraction in South America.

My experience is mostly in the US, UK, and Europe, so that historical and regional context was interesting.
